Tuesday July 10th, 2012 - Slowly...

I just can not seem to get focused this time on my weight loss program.  I am trying to do WW online and I just cannot seem to get a grip on my eating.  I woke up this morning with a whole new attitude though and realized that I am the only one who can fix this problem.  My heels hurt due to the weight they are carrying and if I do not do something soon, my knees will start hurting.  I am afraid of getting diabetes on top of that.

So starting today I am going to take it one day at a time and start posting my food again on my blog and keeping up with my WW journal online.  I am going swimming at lunch today and get my 30 minutes in.  I enjoy this and it is good for me.  I hope to start swimming again at home when the weather gets better.

The biggest problem I have is that I am not a morning person and I need to get out of bed on the first buzz and do something.  So I read that when the first buzz goes off sit up and put your feet on the floor and sit there for a few seconds and this will get you up.  Also it takes two weeks for something to become habit so staring in the morning I am going to get up and do something.  I am thinking about trying a short kettle ball exercise and see how that goes.  Walking is a bitch right now due to my heels hurting.

I am going to go and catch up on a few posts and see what everyone else is doing.  Have a great day.

You could do some simple stretches while you're still lying in bed to get your blood flowing. It's a start.

One day at a time is a great philosophy.

You are doing great. Starting and getting back on track is the hardest part. Like you said, one day at a time is the key....and as you know, it's amazing because success builds upon itself. One day turns into two...and two into four...and success follows!!

I have one heel that hurts most of the time, so I know how difficult it is to walk. However, I have discovered some walking shoes by Aetrex that have made all the difference. They support in the right places! Good luck!
