Wednesday June 22, 2011 - Time to say hello to the scales again..

Sometimes I think Wednesday's come way to fast so I have to step on those scales tonight.  I think I have done okay and I am hoping to show a loss, but you know how that goes.  I have done really well on my eating today, and I had a grilled chicken salad for lunch so I am way under my points today.  I did not get to swim yesterday due to the rain, but I am not complaining we needed it so bad.  I am going to fire up the old treadmill when I get home tonight and walk for at least 30 minutes if it is only a slow walk.

What I need to do is get my ass out of bed every morning when the clock goes off and walk for a few minutes.  I am not a morning person though and it is hard to make myself get out of bed, but starting in the morning I am going to get up and walk when the clock goes off.  I would like to hear from some of you that get up when the clock goes off and exercise in the morning.  Come on your morning people let me hear from you and give me some advice on how to become one of you.   I need to get motivated so that the scales will start to move for me again.

I am going to go and read a few posts before I get off work so have a great afternoon and here is yesterdays food journal.

Debbie,
You can be a morning person too! My hubby gets up at 5:45 and when I hear him go in the kitchen to turn on his coffee (I hate coffee), I get up, wash my face, throw my hair in a ponytail, put my shorts on and a T, strap on my 48, stuff 2 Kleenex in my pocket, drink 1 cup of water and say goodbye. Now its 6 am. Once I'm out that door and have praised God he got me outside, I am almost half a mile down the road. I add my running between walks and soon I'm at the 3 mile mark. There are 3 bad hills on this path. Last part is a run and I see my mailbox as the finish line marking 4 miles.
Walk / run behind me and the rest of the day is mine!

For me, the best thing I can do to get moving in the morning is get rid of any excuses I can think of. Have my shoes and socks ready and next to the door. Sometimes I even sleep in my running clothes. Have your route planned out the day before so you don't have to think - just get out the door and start moving. If you're taking a bottle of water, have that ready in the fridge. Do absolutely everything the night before and then you can just move on autopilot the next morning, plus then the moving (running, walking, swimming, whatever) will wake you up and turn on your brain.
