Wednesday April 13, 2011 - Took my first step toward more exercise..

Well I went walking at lunch for 30 min and it felt great when I got back.  It was kind of hot though and I do not know how long I could stand it when it gets really hot, but today at least I got moving.  I walked across the street from out shop at the old Delphi plant that is closed and I was surprised to find that they had an old walking track that was almost grown up in grass, but it was still a pretty walk.  I took some pictures with my new phone and I am going to try and share them with you.


As you can see I had Freckles with me and we really enjoyed our walk at lunch.  The trail was still visible and I feel better after having walked after I ate.  So I am going to try and get some walking in when I get home tonight after my WW meeting.   Speaking of WW meeting you all know it is my weigh in night and I really do not know what to expect anymore.  My scales show that I have stayed the same and not gained or lost.  I will just have to wait and see I guess and hope for the best.  This is my own fault and I know what is doing it by looking back at my journals for the last couple of months.  Yesterday I had to go into my weekly extra points for lunch due to the cook out at work.  Whose fault is that, well of course it is mine.  I just had to have me a piece of pound cake yesterday and that was what made me have to use some of my extra points.    Now today I had a ham sandwich and 1/2 cup of yesterday's potato salad and a couple of pickles.  I ended up with a 13 point lunch and that was not to bad.

Here is yesterday's food journal and you can see for yourself I did not have a good and healthy day.  I will give myself a pat on the back though for logging all I ate to be honest.  What I really need is to pat myself on the back with a hammer..  Have a good day..

The walk looks like it was heaven! Maybe when it gets hot, you could walk early in the morning. I'm not a morning person, but I love cool summer mornings.

Hang in there...I wsa at a standstill for about a month then seriously in the last two weeks I have lost almost five pounds which for me is a huge loss. IT will happen too!
