Day 13 - Well another one gone...

Well I lost 1 lb this week and I am so pleased with the weigh in.  I worked hard for this loss this week and I was hoping for more, but 1 lb is okay.   We had a couple of girls that joined last week and when they weighed in this week they had lost 7 lbs each.   They were probably 20 or 25 years old and they will probably lose a lot really fast.  I remember when I was young I could drop 10  to 20 lbs overnight it seemed.    Now I have to really work at it to lose 1 lb.    I am really enjoying this new Weight Watchers program and it seems to be working for me.  I know I could lose more if I cut back on calories and only eat around 800 to 1000 calories a day, but I also know that I have to do this for the rest of my life and it has to be some thing that I can live with from now on.  I honestly believe that I can live with the Weight Watchers program and work it into my life from now on.  I hope to reach my goal within the next two years and be able to stay with it.  I also know that 2 year is a long time, but that is my goal.  So hang around because I am going to be a blogger for a long time.

I had a couple of good NSV's today, and it really made my day.  I stopped by my friend Lorie's house this morning and she told me I looked good and it really made be feel good.  Then I meet a couple of friends for lunch or should I say business acquaintances that had not seen me for a while and they could not believe how much weight I had lost.  So yes it is coming off slow, but it is coming off.    I have my bad days though and today I ate more than I should have.  So I have to work at it every day and it is not easy.  I track and count every point of every thing that goes into my mouth.   Does it get any easier when you lose the weight I do not know, but I hope to find out.

Well as you can see I am in a chatting mood tonight.  I am at Deer camp again and will have to commute to work tomorrow, but I like it because of the Internet connection.   Here is yesterdays food journal and I am glad to have my small camera back and it was right where I left it on the table in the living room at deer camp.  Have a great night and be healthy..

Yay for another pound!

I think the people who have HUGE losses are probably losing a lot of water... I've seen it at TOPS...someone have a huge loss but then the next week have a rather large gain. So, keep your chin up--you are doing great!

As far as eating 800-1000 per day, TOPS stresses to us leaders that we are to stress to our members that *no one* should go below 1,200 per day. I don't know what WW teaches about that.

I am like you. I have to have a plan that I can live with for the rest of my life. I'm not looking for a "diet". I'm looking for a lifestyle change...and I AM changing my lifestyle,...slowly...but surely.

Congrats again on the loss!

Congrats on the loss and the NSV. You are doing great. If your decide to cut your calories down to 800 to 1000 you will have my support. Not that you don't have it now. But I mean that my gastric bypass plan allows me 700-900. I've been on this plan for two years and plan to be on it for the rest of my life. I just don't want you to believe that you will starve or become unhealthy for going that low on your calories. It is done all the time with weight loss surgery patients. I wish you the best.
