Thursday 12-16-10 Scale is stuck again..

I was so disappointed last night the scales have not moved since last week.  I did not lose or gain anything.  I guess it is good that I did not gain and I know there are going to be weeks last this, but I am disappointed anyway.  I know what did it though and it is my own fault.  I started back on diet cokes last weekend and did not drink my water like I have been doing.  I was craving a diet coke so bad though that it was like going into withdrawals wanting one.  I gave my last two away yesterday and I am back on water starting today and water only again.  I honestly believe that water is the key to weight loss.

This is a really short post because I have to leave at lunch to go and meet my cable guy to hook up my TV in my exercise room so I can watch it while I walk.  Have a great day and I will catch up on reading what you guys have been doing this weekend.

No picture of food journal today.. I will post it tomorrow.  This computer does not have a camera port on it.

Don't let the scales get you down...I was told that diet cokes have a lot of sodium and can make you retain water, so it's probably not that you didn't lose...it's probably just not showing yet. :) So go low on the soda this week and I bet next week's weigh in will show both week's losses :)

Oh, sorry to hear that. It's annoying. Hope you'll make it up with a big loss next week.

It's great that you know exactly what was the cause of the stall. Awareness is very important.

I agree.. water it KEY... LOTS of it!
I've had several weeks of stalls before.. Just hang in there, it sure beats gaining. Your body needs to adjust and it will. You go girl!!

Stalled weigh-ins are a bummer! But it's probably the sodium in the sodas. If you really wanna have one now and then and not mess up your weigh-in, just have it with a potassium-rich meal or snack (banana, milk, coconut water, sweet potato, etc). It will balance the sodium that bloats a bit. :)

Oh, I'm sorry to hear this. I am of the "you can have my diet coke when you pry it from my cold, dead hands" mindset so I know how much it sucks to try and quit. I haven't quit, as much as I would like to say I have, but when you drink diet coke, do you try and make up for it with extra water consumption? I try to do this and have not had too much of a problem with water retention so far, fingers crossed. Of course, it might be something I have to reevaluate when I get closer to goal though; those plateaus are a pain! Keep your head up!

Don't get discouraged. I find that staying away from the scale and only weighing once a week really helps me.

Joking aside, hang in there! I know it must be disappointing, but it WILL drop again, I know it!!!
