Monday 09-27-10 - Rattlesnake Ridge

Lordy, Lordy its Monday again, and I am already ready for Friday.  I did great on my eating this weekend and riding my bike.  I got to ride both days and 4 miles on Saturday and 2 miles on Sunday due to the rain.  Great weekend overall and I am feeling great.   I hope to get at least 3 or 4 days in on my walking this week, cause it is so nice here.  It is starting to feel a little like fall weather around here.

My friend Lorie came by today after a job interview and she looked really nice.  She cleans up really well... Ha. Ha.  I am only mentioning this because she reads my blog and she did look nice.  I hope she gets the job in one way, but in another way I hope not.  I keep hoping that things will pickup around here and she can come back to work for us.  Right now everything is still slow as hell and we are making it one day at a time.  Hubby is still off work and we are into week three.  We are doing okay and this will be the first week we have to draw out of savings.  It is going to be a long hard winter around here.

Hey guess what hubby caught this weekend???  A baby rattlesnake, yep you got it and put it in a bucket.  A friend of ours likes snakes and he was going to take it to him.  Well this thing was some kind of pissed off and did not like being in that bucket.  When you turn some deer hunters loose that have been drinking and it is not deer season yet watch out.   Last year that caught a baby alligator and put him in our pond.  I got mad as hell, because I was scared it was going to grow up and eat one of my dogs.   I honestly love going to Port Gibson, MS and we have been doing this for 18 years so it is like our other home.  We do not actually stay at deer camp we have 40 acres and a Mobile home 4 miles down the road.

My goal for this month is to exercise at least three times a week, so we will see how I do.  Here is yesterday's food journal..

Damn! You get some nasty animals where you live....the worst we get round here is a badger with a migraine. I'm with lesia on this - i wouldn't have any probs running if i saw a rattlesnake or alligator.

Great weekend! Super eating and exercising. Hey, I also love your bike (saw your pictures from another post). A rattlesnake, huh. Well that would rattle my cages!
