Well it is early Sunday morning and I am up to let the puppies out. It is raining here and that is wonderful because we have not had any in weeks. I am ready for it to turn a littler cooler so that it will not be so hot when I ride Merlin. I am going to go for a ride this morning if the rain stops before I head home. One of the things I hate most about deer camp is the packing to go home every Sunday. This was a lot easier when I was younger, but the older I get the harder it gets. You know that is also the way it is with losing weight, when I was younger I could drop 10, 15 or even 20 lbs without blinking. Not now it is coming off 1 - 2 lbs at a time and I am happy with that. My main goal is to keep it off this time so maybe if I lose it slow it will stay off.
I talked to a lady at Walmart Yesterday that was riding in one of those handicap carts. She was very overweight and I was in the can food section and she needed something off of the top shelf. I reached and got it for her and she thanked me. She then told me that she is trying to loose weight, because her knees are giving out on her. She said that she lives by herself and is finding it hard to loose weight. I told her that I go to Weight Watchers and that I have lost almost 40 lbs since March. I invited her to come to a meeting, but she said that she can not walk very far. Hey I fully understand this, because I was having trouble with my knee for a while. Anyway here is where I am going with this conversation. In her buggy is all kinds of Twinkies, cookies and ice cream. Now she lives alone so who do you think this food was for. I did not ask nor did I make a suggestion that she should change her eating habits. This has to be her decision and I know that. It took me to damn long to make my mind up that the weight needs to come off. Not just needs to come off has to come off. I would love to help people that are over weight like myself lose weight. I am going to get to my goal with Weight Watchers and become an instructor. That is one of the things that I am working toward. I think I would make a good instructor because when I reach my goal I will have lost 125 lbs and I will know how they feel.
Okay, I have to go and fix hubby some coffee this morning and make breakfast. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.. Keep on blogging..lol
