Tuesday March 6, 2012 - Moving my body...

Well something finally took hold on me and I am walking again.  I walked up and down my driveway yesterday twice, which does not sound like much.  Actually my driveway is 1150 feet long so it was a good little walk to get started over with.  I also went and signed up to go swimming on my lunch hour everyday for the next 6 weeks.  My boss is going to let me have and hour and half for lunch so I can go and it is just down the street.  I have set up a meeting with a personal trainer to do weights twice a week on my lunch break also.  I guess it finally hit me that I am not going to wake up skinny on morning.  Damn.....

Now to get control on my eating and I am hoping the exercise will help me do just that.  We are having grilled catfish for supper tonight and hubby is having potatoes and I am having a salad with mine.  I am going to allow myself a skinny cow fudge bar each night as my treat.  I am still not laying back down every morning and this is helping me a lot.

I will weight in tonight and post it on my blog in the morning to have a starting point before I start the weight training.  I read that muscle burns more calories so we will see.  I am going to use the swimming as a sort of a cool down after I work out.  I thought I would swim for 20 minutes each time and see how I do.  Now to see if I have a swim suit that still fits.

Have a great afternoon.

That sounds wonderful, Debbie. It's a great start for exercise. This is an area in which I am not as good as I should be, so I will take your example and move forward, also.

I'm so glad you decided to try something else. It seems sometimes we just spin our wheels thinking we can get back in the routine, and it just doesn't happen. I hope the changes can get you jump-started to lose again. You have a great boss, by the way.

How are you doing on NutriMirror? Sounds like you have full control now and are on a great path.

You're right! These things won't change you overnight, but over a lot of nights.... it will. :) Good job with creating a plan. It's totally corny but I truly believe, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."

Swimming sounds like fun! I can't get over that your drive is 1150 feet long. My house doesn't even have a drive!! LOL
