Tuesday Sept 6, 2011 - So far so good..

First off I want to thank everyone who posted on Sunday's blog for their support, second thing is that I have done pretty good on my eating for the last couple of days.  I am trying portion control and it seems to be working out okay.  We will know when I step on the scales on Sunday again.  I have also started my walking back as of yesterday and it went okay even with a sore foot.   My foot doctor says that I will never be able to go bare foot again, so I have a pair of Crocs that I keep and wear them around the house like house shoes.

I walked for 30 min up and down my driveway yesterday when the rain quit for a while.  It was one wet weekend here though and not much chance to get outside.  I plan on walking this afternoon though for at least 30 min or more until I build back up to walking for an hour.  I am going to sign up of a 5k tomorrow to give me something to train for and I will post the date then.

Yesterdays food choices are below and I think I did pretty good.

1 - small biscuit with deer sausage and scrambled egg
1 cup water melon
1 cup grapes
1 cup beef stew and 6 crackers
1 pear
1 cup water melon
1 cup Jambalaya with chicken
1 WW fudge bar

As you can see I am using portion control and I hope with the walking to start losing weight again.
Have a great day and I am off to read some posts.

Dear Debbie, you've done it before and I know you can do it again. Don't feel any guilt or shame because that will just make you dwell on it, put it behind you and begin moving again and you'll get your groove back again. Just remember, even if you feel like you're going slow, you're still going way faster than someone sitting on the couch :) Go team Debbie!
