Monday April 25, 2011- Old Program or New Program...

Old Weight Watchers Program or the new program that is the question I am pondering right now.  I went back through all my journals this weekend after the 3 lb gain last week and this is what I found out.  Since Weight Watchers changed programs in November I have not had a good losing streak at all.  I am pretty much where I was in November.  I am seriously thinking about returning to the old program and see how I do.  So all my blogger supporters please give me your honest thoughts on this.  You to cousin Patty and cousin Tammy cause I know you guys are going to read this so let me know what you think.   Or do you think I should give it another weigh in and see how I do after all the exercise I did this weekend.   I could also cut back on my points some to say around 26 points and see how that works for the next couple of weeks before I go back to the old plan.   So shoot me some ideas how about it.

We had a great Easter and I did really well on my eating this weekend.  I tried a new WW recipe this weekend and it was pretty good.  I am going to post it on my blog tomorrow and another one that I am going to cook this week.

I will start posting my journals again tomorrow after I get them caught up on WW from this weekend.  I do not have Internet at home and I have to walk outside to use my phone.    Have a great day..

If you like the new system, just cut back a bit on your points. If you liked the old system better, go back to it. But of course you know that losing gets more difficult as you go along. Maybe it's a plateau? You did have that stressful period with your family living with you. You have done so well with WW, and I'm sure you will tweak something to see the results you want. Fresh watermelon time is coming up!

If you feel more comfortable on your the system then go for it. :)

If I went back to WW I would do the old system. Go for it!

I haven't changed the way I eat from Momentum to PointsPlus. I always ate fresh fruit on the old plan & I just took the hit on the points. But I didn't care because I was never going to give up eating bananas or grapes or strawberries. Ask yourself how differently you're eating now compared to the old plan. The only difference for me is fruit is free now. I still eat whole wheat pasta & brown rice instead of white pasta & & white rice. Are you still getting in all your grains, milks & oils?

I've been considering flipping over to the WW program online. At this point, I don't really have advice because I've never used it. But most of my meals in my freezer are WW and Lean Cuisine puts points on their boxes for that program too. Let me know what you decide...I'd be interested to know.

My advice......give it another week. You started exercise which will throw your body into a tailspin. Let your body get used to the exercise for another week or two. Be religious about your eating AND your exercise and see how it goes. IF after you've done both, if it's not working then contemplate changing something up. (but give the exercise time to work....when we start exercise our muscles tear and can retain some water weight...or something like that....i'm not a doctor. haa haa haa)

Now, my other two cents....I can't and have never been able to eat my weekly points and still lose (luckily I can have a few...but not all of them). But i have friends that have to eat their weekly points to lose weight. Play wtih those weeklies!!!
