April 19, 2011 Exercise day one...

I went home yesterday and fixed supper and then I exercised for 20 minutes.  I did my first kettle ball work out and I loved it.  I am going to have to get me a smaller kettle ball though.  I got one that weighs 8 lbs and I should have gotten a 5 lb one.  I really enjoyed it and I could feel it when I got done doing the work out.  Tonight is 30 min on the wii and then a walk up and down my driveway a couple of times.  I know that does not sound like a very long walk, but my driveway is 1100 ft long.  I am trying to get back in the groove with the exercise thing.  I figured a little everyday and I will start showing a loss again and staying on track with my food will help.

My mid morning snack was the same as yesterday and I also had some cantaloupe today.  Lunch was pretty good and I stayed on track with it.  We cooked at work today so I had 1/2 of a pork chop and 1/2 a baked potato.  I had to count the points on a tablespoon of regular butter because that's all we had.  I did have a whole cup of steamed veggies that I had brought from home though.

Both of my sisters have gone on a cruise for 7 days and I miss talking to them.  We usually talk every day and I miss it.  I reached for the phone to call my baby sister this morning and remembered they were gone.  Long boring ride to work with no one to talk to, and then my friend Lori called and that was cool.  My sisters and I are pretty close in a weird sort of way.  I am closer to the baby sister and she talks to my middle sister more than I do.  I do call my middle sister once in a while though, but she is a fitness nut and does not have an extra pound on her anywhere.  So she is always on me to keep losing weight or exercise more.  Gotta love family.

Okay I have to go back to work now, so here is yesterdays food journal.

Having sisters is awesome! I have five and some of us are closer than others, but I couldn't imagine my life without them. They're my rock through everything!

You're lucky to have sisters...I grew up wishing I had one (only have one older brother).

Your driveway is 1100 ft long? Wow!

I find that eating healthy is easier when I'm exercising.....I guess because I don't want to have to undo any of that goodness that I just did with the exercise!
