Friday 03-11-11 Glad to see Friday...

I am so glad to see Friday finally get here and have two whole days off after working all last weekend at the new office.  I have so much to catch up on in the house with the kids finally out.  I am going to clean my house this weekend and get up early in the morning and head out to Walmart to buy my groceries.  We are cutting back on several things at home and groceries is one of the things that I am trying to save money on.  I have made a list this time and I am going to stick to it.  I have a bad habit of wondering around Walmart and looking at everything and really there is nothing I need.   I have lots of fruits and veggies on the list and I would like to get some steaks, but I went to Kroger yesterday and they were almost $15.00 a pound.  I have to say that a rib eye is my favorite and they were to pricey for my blood.  So we had chicken instead and it was pretty good.  I ended up baking it in the oven and putting a little BBQ sauce on it.  We had a big green salad with it.

It feels so good to be back in control of my eating and my house.  I am use to my routine and so is hubby and we like it pretty much just us.  We are going to go out to eat tonight at Applebee's and this is a good choice because they have several WW meals on their menu.

I woke up this morning and was thinking that I will be 52 years old this year and I thought where in the hell did the first 52 years go.  Life is quick and I was thinking that we spend it worrying about  money.  I have decided that I am going to start enjoying life a little more.  We enjoyed the cruise so much and it was the first time that we have been off together in a long time except for deer camp.  So I am taking one day a month to do something for myself or for hubby and me.  It could be just rent a good movie or go to the zoo or something, but I will do something so stay tuned to find out what.  I will also be posting some new pictures next week so look for those.  Have a great weekend and I will post again on Monday.  Here is yesterdays food journal.

Yikes on the ribeyes, Debbie. I love Kroger ribeyes but we wait until they are about $6.99 a pound or so. Even then that is a lot of money. I"m glad you enjoyed your chicken.:)
