This weekend made me realize a few things about my eating, and that was that I can always choose what I will and will not eat. I also realized that I do not have to starve myself to loose weight. Weight loss is not about doing without, it is about making the right choices. If I do not have the option to make those choices than I can decide to chose what I will eat. This weekend I took my daughter in-laws out to eat lunch on Saturday and instead of saying I do not care where we eat I said it had to be somewhere that I could make the choice to eat healthy. We went to Sweet Tomato's and it was wonderful. They had a wonderful salad bar and bake potato's white and sweet. I made a really big salad and even tried some different dressing that I loved. Friday night they ordered pizza, but we had a salad to go with it so I ate just one piece of pizza and a large salad. I made sure that I had some Weight Watcher snacks for my self for when I wanted something sweet.
The one thing that has been great is this blog and reading all the blogs from people who have been in the same position and have successfully lost weight and found ways to change their habits. A few months ago I had trouble drinking water and could not hardly stand it. Now it is all I can drink and I love it and I feel better off of the diet cokes.
Today is my weigh in day and I hope to have dropped at least another lb. I have not been exercising the way I should have this week with the traveling and all. I started back this week with the wii and walking on the treadmill so that should help. There is not enough hours in the day anymore and I seem to run out of time when I get home and get everything done for supper and the next day.
