Monday 09-13-10 Closet nightmare

I can not hardly believe that the weekend went by so fast.  I really enjoyed my bike this weekend and I sort of wish we were not going to Georgia next weekend so I  could ride it.   We are excited to see our new granddaughter though and look forward to seeing the kids and our other granddaughter and grandson.  They grow up to fast and we miss so much living so far away.   Okay back to the bike ride and where I rode.  Here are a couple of pictures of the road where I road and it is 2 miles one way to deer camp so I rode 4 miles round trip.  Pretty good for my second ride on Merlin, he did get tired though.

As you can see it pretty much looks the same all the way.  Really green and no houses to speak of.  There is almost no traffic this time of year except a few four wheelers.  Mostly just guys getting ready for deer camp and men on tractors.  We are in the Deer capital of the world.  It is nothing to see 30 or 40 deer at night on the road.

I have really done pretty good on my eating and I am going to walk on the treadmill when I get home today.  I have lost several inches all over, and this brings me to the closet nightmare that I mentioned in my title.  I decided when I got home yesterday to clean out the closet in our guest bedroom.  Now this is where I store all of my clothes that do not fit, or I do not wear for some reason.  It is packed let me tell you.  I start out by pulling out all the empty clothes hangers and realize that I did not need to buy hangers ever.  Okay here is how it went, I made several piles to start with.  Things I am going to take to deer camp for everyday wear this winter.  I found about 10 pairs of Capri's that I could not even get up over my hips a few months ago that fit great.  These went in a pile to be washed so I could wear them before it gets to cold.  Next we have the pile of why in the world did I buy this and what was I thinking.   Now the greatest pile of all the ones that are two big for me.  Boy was it a great feeling to have an actual pile of clothes that are really to big for me.  I do not mean a little loose, I mean to BIG..  I ended up with about 20 outfits that I can wear to work that I have not been able to wear in years.  Great feeling...

Here is yesterday's food journal..

You are handling the weekend eating in a very nice way! I need to borrow a little of your commitment at the moment. I seem to have lost a bit of mine somewhere.

I knew you would love the bike. It works a whole different set of muscles than the walking.

Good work! Love the bike! Have fun smooching on the gradkids. Maybe you could rent or borrow a bike while there?

I had been so big for so long.... that eventually I got to the point where all my stuff is new and I am combing thrift shops for smaller sizes.
