Tuesday August 17th, 2010

I am going to start using the date for a title, because coming up with a title everyday is hard.  Pretty good day on my eating yesterday and left overs for today's lunch as always.  I am headed to Walmart to hunt me a grill basket that Allan recommended to me to cook in.  Tonight I have 2 Cornish hens laid out to cut in half and put on the grill.  I am going to put lite Italian dressing on them and cook them slow.  I will either fix a salad or veggies it depends on the hubby.  I will probably have to fix some kind of potato for him.  He is pretty easy to cook for though and will eat just about anything, but pasta.

I am going to purchase the new 2010 Weight Watcher books tomorrow night and I sent my old ones to my cousin Patty in Philadelphia, MS.  She is going to try it on her own and I think she can do it.  So all you bloggers out there wish her well she reads my blog and lets let her know she has support.  Who knows, maybe I can get her to start blogging.  She is on face book so we will see.

One of the things I have come to realize is that I can do without diet cokes.  I have discovered a love for water and when I drink my one coke at lunch I end up only drinking about half of it.  I am going to start bringing me a bottle of water instead and give them up altogether.  I got up and walked this morning at 4:30 Am and it was not to bad.  I actually got up on the fist ding of the clock.  I put my movie in last night and laid my walking clothes out in the room with the treadmill.  I start the movie and watch it, and it takes me about 2 or 3 days of walking to finish it.  I try and pick one that I know, because you cannot hear it over the treadmill.

Here is a picture of my new granddaughter Lexi... She is so cute..  We have not got to see her yet.  It will be the middle of September before we do.  I can hardly wait.

I purchased a three month journal from Weight Watchers so I can keep up with it easier.  I like having a record to go back to and look when I eat the same things.  Here is yesterdays food journal..

Your husband doesn't like pasta? There are far too many nice meals for me not to like it :)

Same here - I can do without diet cokes. I can do without all soda. But you know what I have picked up, Tonic Water. A glass of that with a wedge of lime or lemon or both, yum! A great way for me to break up the routine of drinking so much water, but still drink water while not drinking water. :-)

Thanks for your comment on my blog! It really means a lot to me. I'll be reading yours now too - good luck with your journey!

Cornish hens are great - and I *wish* I didn't like pasta! I grew up in an Italian household where we had some sort of pasta two or three times a week.

Lexi is adorable! Congratulations to you and the parents!

Soooooo cute! Congrats on the new addition! I've learned diet cokes just make me thirstier, bloated and craving sweets. Good move on giving them up. For me they are now an occasional treat and I enjoy them this way.

Don't remember the last time I had a diet coke. It's water for me all the way.

What a beautiful grandbabygirl!
