My first 5K - What a great feeling.

Well I did it Saturday March 13th, I walked a 5K...  It was called the Legal Beagle 5K

I did it, I did it...  I still can not belive that I made it.  I was the last person across the finish line, but I stayed with it and completed it.  I am attaching all kind of pictures for everyone to look at.   It was cold when we started and I was glad to see the long sleeve shirt they gave us.  I am now addicted to walking in a 5K and I have already signed up for another one next Saturday.  I know I am nuts huh.  I have seven blisters on my feet from the shoes.  I went and purchased me some socks for walkers.  $10.00 a pair I hope they help.  I am going to invest in some good shoes though.  Several people have told me to go and get fitted for shoes and that is what I am going to do.

I am on the left in the pictures and my friend Lorie is on the right.  The dog of course is Freckles and she is dress for her walk.  It took us 1 hr and 5 min to walk the 5K we were bringing up the rear but we made it.

I also lost another 1 lb this week can you believe it, I keep my scales happy for another week.  I have gotten where I have more entergy and I am feeling better.  My first goal is to lose 20 lbs by May first and I am almost halfway there.

Well here are my pictures of the 5K I started to take pictures of my blisters, but I have the awful feet.

This was my number and I wrote my time on it.  I was #147 of the walkers coming in at 1:05.  I am proud of it.
Once again I am on the Left and Lorie is on the Right.  This is taken before we walked.
This is Freckles and me and we are getting ready to walk.
This is the finish line and I was so proud to see it.

This is the crowd right before we started walking.  There was 750 people in all, but most were runners. Only about 150 people walked it.

Keep on blogging.
