Tuesday April 5, 2011 - More focused then ever...

I seem to be more focused this week then I have been in a long time concerning my weight loss program.  I am back to keeping my journal every day and planning my meals for the week again.  So lets hope the scales show it tomorrow night.  I did not get to walk yesterday like I planned due to bad weather.  We were without power again last night for 6 hours and I ma just glad that it was cool outside.  I had to get really creative with supper last night with no power except for the top of my stove which is gas.  We had some chicken noodle soup that was pretty good even though it started out as a dry mix.  I fixed some turkey quesadias that turned out really well.  I took some low fat tortilla shells that only had 2 points per shell and put some Laughing Cow cheese on it and then put some turkey and salsa with a little shredded cheese and it was great.  I browned this in a skillet with some Pam to melt the butter and it ended up being 8 points for a very large quesidia  I cut mine in half and had the other half for breakfast this morning and that was a good change from my usual breakfast.

I wish sometimes that I would just wake up skinny and everything would be right in my world.  Yeah and like that is going to happen.  Do any of you have people in your family that as soon as you call them the first thing they ask is are you still loosing weight.  Oh and then there is my favorite, when you go over to eat with them " should you eat that".   I know they care about me and worry about my health, but I am healthy as a horse so says my doctor.  I no longer have to take high blood pressure meds or any other kind of meds.  So I have done pretty damn good so far in taking off what weight I have.  I could have done better and taken it off faster, but I am doing this my way so that maybe I will keep it off for the rest of my life.

Well I am just rambling today as you can see so I better get back to work.  Here is yesterdays food journal and I am going to go and read some posts.  Have a great afternoon.

The turkey quesadillas sound good. I would love to have one right now if it were allowed on my plan. :)

Doing it your way is the best way you can lose the weight because it then becomes the norm and you should end up keeping it off for the rest of your life.

Good for you!! Great attitude!
On a different note, I have been meaning to ask about your bike...what kind is it? I am looking for a simple bike just to ride.

I know the feeling of wishing to wake up skinny. I joke and say I want my weight to come off a butt cheek at a time! I did learn a vauleable lesson the first time i lost weight, I did not do it in the best way and it all came back slowly but surely. This time I promised myself that even if it takes longer I am going to do it the right way for me and for my body. No crash dieting, extremem unrealistic exericse, and no binge eating as a reward!
