Thursday 12-02-10 New Weight Watchers and Me...

I started the new Weight Watchers program this morning and it is a lot different.  I am going to have to re-think breakfast and other things that I have been eating.  The bagel thin that I love is now 3 points instead of 1 point.  So I went from a 5 point breakfast to an 8-1/2 point breakfast and this is not good.  So I am going to have to drop something or change something out and it has to be something that I can eat and drive.  I guess I will add a banana and drop the sausage, cause a banana is now 0 points so I can live with that.  Most all fruits and veggies are now 0 points so it should be easy to change some things around.

For the good news last night I have lost 1 more pound and I am happy with that.  The bad side is that I still have 9 lbs to go to get my 60 lbs by Christmas so I have to pick it up a little.  I have to lose 3 lbs each week until Christmas to get it.  I am determined so we will see if I can do it or not.  My cold is 100% better today so I hope to go home and get on the wii and get my body moving.  With the new plan my points went up to 31 a day instead of 27 so I am allowed more choices.

Here is yesterdays food journal and tomorrows will reflect the new plan.  I hope everyone has a nice day and I am going to catch up on posts this weekend..

I like the idea that fruit and veg are 0 points. I always thought it was silly having more points for, lets say, fruit than a low cal chocolate cookie. LOL

I'm interested to see how you get on with the new points system and your views on it. Good luck!

Congrats on the loss. Pound by pound, it adds up!
How many points a day do you get now?

Hi Debbie, I am so pleased you like the new plan, i started on 7th Nov and lost 4lbs my first week.

How many ProPoints od you have per day? It may not be a case of changing your breakfast- remember , ProPoints are 'worth more' than our old points. 8 PP does equal about 4 old points. I'm on 34 a day now- it sounded like a lot when i started, but i have got into the way of thinking differently now, and i am happy to spend 8 ProPoints as potatoes, for example, because i know that i still have 26 to eat that day. (i would not have spent 8 points on potatoes before when i only had 22 points a day)You will be fine, just think of all the bananas you can eat for free! My tip would be to buy new, exotic fruit and treat yourself to it, since it's free, and good for you- why not?

You will love it when you get the feel for it
