Saturday 12-04-10 Shopping disaster...

I got up early and went shopping and I really had a good time.  I went and got a hair cut and really enjoyed my day shopping.  I picked out my mother what I thought was the greatest gift in the world.  She had mentioned that she would really like some pearl earrings so I found some that were beautiful.  I got a really good deal on them and I thought oh boy I have her the perfect gift.  I call my sister Annette and was all excited about it,  guess what she got mother for Christmas.  Yep you guessed it a pearl necklace and earrings, so I am back to the drawing board tomorrow and I have to take the earrings back.  Now I have no idea what in the hell to get her.

Great day on my eating and I got a lot of walking in at the mall.  I walked in twice from one end to the other end, and before you thing I did so great it is a very small mall.  I am going to go for a walk in the morning before I head out again and I am going to walk for at least 30 minutes.

We are going to a Christmas party next week and I am acutally looking forward to picking out something to wear.  For the first time in a few years I can wear something that is not to tight or makes me look like Moby Dick.  I have a couple of outfits in mind and I will post some pictures of the party and what I decide to wear.   It is a great feeling to be able to fit in a chair or fit in a booth at a resturant again.  It is weird what you notice that is getting slimmer, like me today at the barber shop.  I noticed that when she put the cape on me that I now have a neck and not so much of a double chin anymore.  I also noticed that the older I get the more I look like my mother, but hey I have a good looking mother so what the hell.

Have a great night and here is yesterdays food journal.  I am going to go read a few posts while I am getting ready to take a bath..

Pearls are like diamonds ... you can never have too many. But I understand that you'd like to give something special. I've seen the brown "chocolate" pearls that are stunning. I'm sure you'll think up something just right.

Debbie - what awesome NSV. I love that I can fit in booths! That was a big one for me. How fun to go to a Christmas Party. I hope it goes superbly. Good job on your walking. You are cruising right along! I totally need to pick it up on that one. :)
