Tuesday 11-30-10 My thoughts on getting skinner...

I have realized a couple of things lately about this journey I am on to get slimmer and healthier.  I am feeling great and I have lots of energy.  Well now that I am almost over my cold anyway.  One of the things I noticed this past week was that I slipped off my healthy track for a couple of days and boy did it mess with my stomach.  My body is use to eating pretty healthy and I threw it a curve over the holidays and it got pissed off and told me about it.  Now that I am back to eating like I should everything is back to normal.   I feel better and you know the foods that I did eat were okay, but I really could have eaten more healthy and been just as satisfied, wait no I would have been more satisfied.  As for the Christmas holidays I have already planned my menu and it is all healthy food and light and tasty.  We are going to do a Christmas breakfast for the kids and then go to my mothers so we are eating a light and healthy breakfast.

I have another NSV to tell everyone about today.  I have been driving my car with the seat in the same position since I got it two years ago and yesterday I noticed that the steering wheel seem further away.  I thought maybe I had pushed it back or hubby did, but no it was all the way out.  I had to let my seat up some.  The steering wheel had not moved I had.  The weight I have lost has made me further back in my seat so I had to adjust it.  Now how cool is that...

Well here is yesterdays food journal..  I am back in camera operation...

Congrats on your NSV!! I remember when my steering wheel mysteriously got so much further away, too. Just wait until your can "perch" on your driver's seat with your foot on the seat (knee in front of you) and STILL not touch the steering wheel! That's pretty awesome.

That's a really big NSV, similar to the one i read on Patrick's blog about being able to slide into a booth and not feel like his belly was sitting on the table. That's really great news...makes it easier to keep going to find out what else you might be capable of doing.
