Tuesday 10/12/10 - In Control

It seems that I have finally gotten control over my eating with Weight Watchers.  I thought about this on my way to work as I was eating my breakfast.  Which by the way consisted of a toasted bagel thin with 1 tbs peanut butter and 3 pieces of turkey bacon.  I found a turkey bacon made by Oscar Mayer that only has 2 points for 3 pieces.  This was a very filling breakfast and I was satisfied and full.  I ate an apple about 8:30 and a cup of watermelon just now for my morning snack.  I try and eat something about every two hours and this seems to keep my energy level up and keeps me from pigging out.

Lord knows that I have tried every diet known to man kind.  I have done diet pills and soup diets.  I guess I was always looking for the over night cure and there is not one.  I came to realize that no one can do this for me.  Weight Watchers is not just a diet for me anymore it is my way of life.  I will have to do this the rest of my life, because I have an eating problem.  I know this and accept it, but I will no longer let that eating problem control me or my life.   So I write in my journal and I weight every day and I measure everything that goes into my mouth.  It is no longer a hassle, but a habit.   Lets hope this weeks weigh in reflects it this week.

Now for the exercise and the fact that I am not getting enough of it.  I went home yesterday and walked up and down my driveway 3 times.  I know that does not sound like a lot, but my driveway is 1150 feet long so I walked 6900 feet.  It took me about 20 minutes and then I cooked supper and got on the wii for 30 min.  Hopefully I can keep this up and get this to also become a habit for me.  We will have to see with my work hours being so crazy if I can keep it up.  Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Here is yesterday's food journal and I will be posting a new receipe on my blog this weekend so look for it.   Have a great day and I am going to go and read some posts..

I agree. No matter what program we choose, we have to be ready to follow it for the rest of our lives.

Well done one the exercise! You are pitting in an effort and that's what counts! :)

Agreed, there's no magic end point for what we do. I've been normal weight before only to bounce back up again when I stopped attending to business.

Sounds like a great breakfast. I usually have a piece of toast or cream of wheat. I'll have to try the turkey bacon. I tried weight watchers yearrrrsss ago and did lose, but I never stayed very long because shortly after we moved.

By Jove, i think she's got it...the magic cure is realising that there is no magic cure - that sounds a bit too deep and Matrix-ey, so i'll stop that. lol

I like the using the driveway for a bit of a warm-up then using the wii...sounds like you are rocking the exercise. What Wii fit activities are you doing? I think the rhythm boxing is ace.

My fingers are crossed for you pet.
