Thursday 09-02-10 - 2 lbs gone

Well another good week on the scales, yep I lost 2 lbs this week.  I am thrilled and hope I keep on with the losing streak.  My hardest time is the weekends though when I am in Port Gibson with nothing to do.  I tend to eat when I get bored, so I am just going to have to stay busy.  I use to go to the casino on Saturdays, but with my hubby's job in question that is out.  I will probably walk and there is still the question of getting a bike.  I have come close to ordering one a couple of times, but money is still a problem.  I am going on the hunt for a used bike and see what I come up with.

Eating has become a religion with me, I look at weigh, measure and count the points on everything that goes in my mouth.   I am 51 years old and if I am going to take this weight off it has to be now.  Just the small amount of weight I have lost this year, which by the way is now 33 lbs has made me feel better.  I had to walk and show a storage unit this morning and it was way in the back of the property.   Last time I did this was last year and I had to stop and lean on the building halfway coming and going to catch my breath.    This time I had no problem going back there with out stopping along the way.    I am going to walk in another 5k at the end of this month so I hope to be able to do it in under 1 hr.  We will see.

Great meeting last night along with the weigh in.  The topic was how do you plan your weight lost strategy?   I plan mine by making a list before I go to the grocery store, planning my lunches everyday and counting my points.  How would some of you say you plan your weight lost strategies?

I have a Giant Beach bike that is pink! I love my bike. I even have a cool basket on the front of it!

Great work! I miss my bike but we live on a super busy highway so I know I probably wouldn't use it if I had it. Unless I find one that I can fold up and put in the Prius it's not happenin.

You are doing great with your slow and steady weight loss. WW is really working for you. And you are so diligent in writing down your food and planning. I think that is the key. It takes some time, but it's worth it.

Great job with the loss! Weigh-day is tomorrow for me. My strategy is pretty simplistic-I shop at Sprout's-which is all organic so I dig their produce and meats. If I go to a normal g-store, I make sure I have eaten prior, so there is no motivation to buy the wrong things. Typically though this isn't too big a problem, its not really what I eat but how much I eat. As for exercise, we keep a calendar on our fridge where we write our exercise daily and I have to look at it whenever I open the fridge. I also write all my food consumed down...
