Weight Watchers and working...

Crazy title huh...  I have to bring my lunch every day to make sure that I stay within my point range.  There are several restaurants that have what they say are Weight Watcher meals, like Applebee's or Logan's.   But I think I am better off knowing what and how they are cooked.  Like today I brought some grilled chicken breast cooked in my George Foreman grill.  I put fat free Italian salad dressing on them 1 tablespoon.  I am having this on a white wheat bun that only has 1 point with 1/2 cup of pasta salad that I made for supper last night.  It has fresh tomato's, cucumbers and fat free croutons in it.  I added 2 tablespoons of the same fat free dressing instead of the pack of seasoning that comes with it.   My biggest concern is what I am going to do when the fruit runs out.  I guess I will have to come up with alternatives in the froze food section..  Any ideas anyone?

I am feeling great and  have more energy these days.  I wonder if it is all this water I am drinking.  I am down to one diet coke a day from 7 or 8 a day.   I do miss sweet tea though and I know I could have it with sweet-n-low, but I am trying to get off of that to.  You know I wonder if they have rehab for obese people like they do drug rehab.  I had a headache for two days when I cut back on cokes, either from the caffeine or from the artificial sweetener.    I am looking for a recipe for cheese cake that is made sugar free and fat free, but still tastes good.  So if anyone has one please send it to me before Labor day.

Okay enough rambling for one day about nothing. Here is my food diary for yesterday, and as you can see I went over 1 point.  I could use my extra weekly points, but I am not going to.   Off to read the latest news.....

Bringing lunch is such a good idea, but I'm so lazy about it. Looks like you're doing well.

Your doing great! I usually bring my own dinner to work (i work afternoon shift at a donut/coffee shop as supervisor). If i don't have anything i want to bring i'll bring a frozen dinner because if i start eating at work i'll just keep doing it and their sodium/fat/transfats are really bad!

Debbi, you're doing amazing. I'm very impressed with how you're staying within your Points and your honesty in posting what you're eating. It looks like you added more veggies and from what I can see, you're right on plan.

About your sweet tea, have you tried Stevia. I've tried different brands and the one I like the best and is least chemically tasting is NuNaturals Stevia. NuStevia is the one in the packets and is zero calories. I use it in my plain Greek yogurt and love it. You have to buy it in the nutritional center of some grocery stores or a health food store. The Truvia and other types of Stevia in the regular stores has chlorine added to it so it tastes funny to me.

Anyway, great going. I need to follow your example. :)

Here is a really great recipe for 2-point cheesecakes: http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=63

The key with these is to chill them completely after they come out of the oven IN THE MUFFIN TIN. They will be really loose and jiggly and you won't think they're cooked, but they are. Stick them in the fridge until you're ready to serve and they are awesome.

You're doing great! Journaling helps me out! If I feel hugry for an unplanned snack, I just look t my journal and convince myself that I've had enough for the day. g

Good job bringing your lunch to work. Today I am grilling a week's worth of meat so that we will have it available when we want it and can nuke it up quickly in the microwave.

Now if I can just resist eating more than one serving at a time!
