I am on a roll...

I had a great day yesterday and my eating was great.  Weight Watchers seems to be be the ticket for me.  I also exercised on my wii last night for 30 min.  I am going to get me a kettle ball this week that weighs 5 lbs and some small 8 lb dumbbells.  I wonder if you can get all of this at walmart?  I guess I will go and find out on my lunch break today.  I want to add some weights to my exercise, not a lot but some anyway.  I read this articile in WW magazine and it gives a 15 min work out with a kettle ball, dumbbells and a large rubber band.  So I thought I would add this to my workout every night and that would put me up to 45 min a night exercising.  Right now I am alternating between zumba, the wii and swimming.   Tuesday is swim day so I will swim for 30 to 45 min tonight if it does not rain.  If it rains back to the wii or zumba.    I am going to start stretching for 10 min everynight before I exercise.  This is something else I read in WW magazine that your muscles tear a little everytime you stretch and the repair stronger.

I would like to get hubby on a exercise program, seeing as he weighs 210 lbs and is only 5'9.  He says he gets enough exercise at work with all the walking he does, but I think he needs more.   This man has some major eating habits to let me tell you.  He loves regular yogurt, any flavor and he eats a couple of these a night after supper.  I thought he was doing great on these due to the fact that he gave up ice cream until I read the sodium content.  They are loaded with sodium, I know he sweats a lot at work but it is a lot.   I think I am going to get him on the wii tonight and see if it tells him he is over weight.  Anyone want to take bets that he his.  I think he should weigh about 175 or 180 we will see.

Oh I have been reading some really great posts lately and they are really keeping me motivated.  Blogging has been my life saver since I have started this journey from hell to lose weight.   It helps knowing there are people out there who are fighting the same battle and have won this fight.  So I figure if they can do it I can do it.  So watch out weight loss beast I have my fighting gloves on and it is a fight.

Alright here is yesterday's food diary so let me know how everyone thinks I did.

Again I ate good all day and did not get hungry.  Oh and all of the veggies came out of my garden.  How cool is that.

Good luck with hubby. Of course, he will have to want it himself, not just do it for you. Ackowledging and taking ownership of the issue has got to be done before life changes, right?

You should be able to get the kettlebell and the dumbbells at Walmart.

Suggestion for you though would to only do the strength training every other day. You body needs at least 1 day of rest between strength training workouts so you can recover and actually build muscle. If you don't give yourself the rest then you defeat the whole purpose of it.

Keep up the good work!

I love that you're eating food right out of your garden - that is fantastic!

I'm interested about the kettle ball exercises. I don't know what to do with them other than that people swing them around wildly on the Biggest Loser.

Here's to hoping that everything works well! :):)

Congratulations on joining WW! It was successful for me a few years ago, and it helped me with portion control. Good luck!
