Back off Vacation

Boy did my 5 days off go by fast.  I blinked and it was over and I am back at work.  I really enjoyed being off though and I got a lot done.  I went to Philadelphia, MS to see my Aunt and cousins and that was fun.    I am glad to be back at work though so I can post on my blog and catch up on reading every one's posts.   I hate not having a fast Internet connection at home.  I have the cell phone card and I can use it, but it is not that much faster than dial up.

Okay people I was a bad girl on my eating while I was off.  Lets just say if it could be ate I ate it.   I do not know what come over me while I was off.  I did not work out, I did not even walk.  It was like my body said okay I need a vacation to and that's what I did.  I am back working out and I got my eating under control yesterday, but I paid the price when I stepped on the scales.  I have gained 4 lbs while I was off.  We eat out 4 times and one time was at Red Lobster.   I am thinking about going back to Weight Watchers, but I have to make sure that I can find a meeting that I can live with.

Has anyone else out there just had a week or a couple of days or even a day that you just ate.   I craved different things during this week that I have not even though about in months.   This was one hell of a binge let me tell you.   I fell off the wagon so to speak, but I am back on the wagon and back on track I hope.   I am going to go read some posts, this always gets me motivated and on track.

Have a nice day...

I have had a lot of those days, weeks, etc. I consider that both of my pregnancies. I think it is hard to stay on track because you want to give yourself a break while on vacation but then again when you do stuff like weight gain happens. My goal is to maintain while I go off on vacation this coming weekend. Wish me luck. Good luck with getting back on track

when I was on vacation, I did better than I would've before the plan, but not as well as I would've if I had stuck to my normal routine. I allowed myself this and was happy to have gained only a coupla pounds. I considered just knowing that a big success compared to my usual blindly stuffing my face with things I thought that I wanted.

I still got mad at myself, but realized I'm in control and I know what I did wrong. Taking responsibility and stopping the negative selftalk afterwards helped me focus on doing a better job.

You already know what to do to lose weight, right? All of us do. It's hard, but we're doing it!

Vacations and the like are usually where we fall off the wagon for a bit. And it doesn't need to be considered bad. It is only bad if you do not get back on the wagon when the vacation is over.

Yeah, we spent 11 days in Ireland and I came home with an extra 8 lbs. Alot of it was water retention, but I didn't immediately jump right back on the wagon, so it took me a few weeks to get rid of it all. I think Patrick is right, it's not that bad as long as you're right back on the wagon when you get home. I have learned that lesson the hard way and will do just that when I come home from my next vacation!

I always gain on vacation. But for me it is usually alot of water weight. Drink alot of water with lemon in it and that will help.

Who cares anyways.... we all need a vacation.
