Swimming Pool Time

Oh yes it has finally got warm enough for me to get in the pool.  I love swimming and it is good exercise.  We have one of those above the ground pools  an 18' one and I love it.   I went home yesterday and did my 1000 steps on my wii and 30 min. worth of exercise on it and then I got in the pool.  I did my kicking exercises and swam back and forth for 30 min.  I was feeling good when I got out and I hope to be able to do this 3 or 4 times a week along with my wii workout.    


My clothes are fitting better, I feel better since I have been exercising everyday.  I went to physical therapy for my knee yesterday.  It was great, he had me do some stretching exercises and then he massaged my knee with his had and it was vibrating.  Have mercy it felt good.  Oh yeah and he was really cute to...  I was old enough to be his mother, but I can still appreciate a good looking man.    The stretching seem to help with my knee so I am going to try and do some of these stretching exercises at home.  I have to take physical Therapy for a month, but I can still walk.    I have another 5k coming up May 22nd so I hope the next two weeks with therapy will help.


I have to catch up on my blog reading today.  I am missing to many really good posts.   We have been so busy at work that I have not been able to get on and read, but today is catch up day at lunch so I hope to read and see what everyone has to say.    I hope to start blogging from home, but my connection is really slow.  I am working off of a cell phone card that lets me connect to the Internet and it is really slow.  We are getting a new cell phone tower close so that is going to help.

Oh how I love swimming. Well, I like hanging in the pool. I dont know how to swim. I should learn. It really would be great exercize.

Debbie, thanks for coming by my blog earlier and sharing your thoughts. I am liking what I see here on your blog; the weight loss tip of the day panel on your blog is a great idea. My wife is a swimmer from her high school & college days. She recently joined the YMCA nearby to get back into it for exercise. I've never swam for exercise myself but who knows, maybe I should look into it. I see you are down 23 pounds on your mission, well done! I look forward to following on as you achieve your goal.

Debbie! Swimming is so much fun. I'm so glad it is warming up where you are and that you are able to do this activity!

Swimming always makes me sooo hungry though. I don't know what about it is different from other exercises? I think maybe it is my associations from childhood, because I always want a hot dog after getting out of the pool.
