One day at a time...

I am so excited I got on the scales this morning and I have lost one whole lb.  I hope it keeps this up all week so I can makeup for last week.   I walked 1 mile at lunch today and I am headed home and use my wii this afternoon.     Exercise is the hardest thing for me to find time for.  I have to make myself go walking at lunch and I really love to walk.  It has gotten so hot here lately though that walking outside is out of the question.    I have found though that walking relaxes me and helps me finish out my afternoon.   



I am looking for some good stretching exercises though, if anyone has any ideas or can recommend a tape or something.  I need to limber up some so I can bend over better.  It has been years since I was able to cross my legs and I am looking forward to that very much.   I can sit down and bend over and tie my shoes now, but I can not bring my foot up to me.    My knee is doing great these days and I hope it holds out.  I am sure that the more I walk now the better it is going to be.    



Now onto portion control on my food, this is one of my biggest problems and I am trying to come up with ways to control it.  I am starting with having just one helping of everything (small ones).   It is easier for me to concentrate on small goals like 10 lbs at a time instead of thinking that I have so much to lose.    I read all the blogs and everyone is doing to great.  I get so much from these and it keeps me on the right track.  If I feel myself slipping I log on and read some posts.  I missed it this weekend while we were in Georgia. 



Okay I have to get back to work, but here is a picture of a bush in front of my house that is blooming like crazy.  It is called a bridal bouquet.   I love this thing, when we first built our house I wanted my husband to cut it down.  I thought it was a weed.    Boy am I glad he does not listen to me..  Have a nice day...

It's beautiful! I can see why they call it that. FitTV has great stretches and also ExerciseTV.
