Saturday June 4th, 2011 - Weight Watchers and Me...

I was up with the chickens this morning and I have been going back through some of my old food journals and trying to decide to stay with Weight Watchers or change over to something else.  I have decided to stay with the Weight Watchers program and get my ass in gear and get with the program.  The last few months I have kind of floundering around going up a few pounds and coming back down.  This is my fault and I sat here last night and talked to myself, although it was a one sided conversation it went well.   I will be hand writing my food journals again.  Damn it is hard to diet you know, and stay on one all the time.

One of the things that I think is going to help is I am exercising every day now.  I try and get 30 min in the pool when I get home and then 30 min on the wii or something.  I have so many different things that I can do after I swim that I am hoping that I will not get board with it.  I am going to get me some light slip on shoes to wear when I do the wii or Zumba.  I was thinking about some of those slip on water shoes that you see at Walmart.  I just need something to keep my feet from slipping when I am working out on our hardwood floor.

Last but not least in my post this morning is my idea to form a walking club in my small town.  What I would like to happen is several people respond and we walk at least 3 times a week.  I also want some one who can afford to walk in at least one 5k a month or more.  If you have every walked in a 5k you know that it can cost anywhere from 25 to 35 dollars depending on the race.  I love 5k's and miss walking in them and I really miss walking with my friend Lori.  We have both changed jobs and it is hard to get our schedules together anymore.   I had also thought about one of my sisters, but they both stay so busy that it would be hard to catch up to them also.  So I am back to the ad it the paper and we will see how it goes after next Thursday.  Hey I may meet some really great people and a whole bunch of new friends.  I will keep every one posted.

Have a great weekend and I hope you are having the same beautiful weather that we are having here in Mississippi.

Good luck with starting your walking club. That sounds like a good idea.

Change your mindset about WW!! The D word is out of the question because WW is NOT a diet. It's a way of life.. as you get into a routine of tracking it becomes second nature! Try not to focus on the things you don't feel like doing and more on the results that you are going to get by doing those things!

Don't give up!! Good luck on your walking club!

Hey Debbie

Your progress pics look great. Im back on my weightloss journey again for the 2nd or 3rd time, I just cant seem to get it right. Im starting around the same weight you did, any advice? Or key pieces of info, or key foods to help me out?

If you want to try the Nutrimirror food log, its free and you can do it right from your phone. There are a lot of weight watcher members that use it and the journal room is great support.
I wish I was in a walking club but since I walk at 6 am out in the country it would be hard to get with someone. I cant be in mid day sun with skin cancer problems.
By the way, I like the new blog look!

Hey Debbie, your blog is looking great with the light colours. Very spring-like :) Excellent idea to start a walking group, walking is great exercise and it's free! Moving everyday and power foods on the WW plan seem to be the magic key. Keep up the good work, I know how you feel about the wobbling around the same weight. Keep doing the good things and your weight will move again :)
