Monday Feb 7, 2011 - 10 days to Cruise time..

Well we are counting down the days to we go on our cruise.  I am so ready and more so now that we have a house full of folks.  I did not know that a baby could use so much stuff.  We have bottles and a thing that you put bottles on for them to dry and wipes, diapers, crib and a jump thing.  My house is running over with things and folks.

My eating has been okay this weekend and I have been on track and off track for the last couple of days.  It is hard to feed 4 people and a baby and get everyone on the same page.  Hubby and I are pretty use to eating healthy, but he kids idea of veggies is lettuce.  So I am having to fix several different kinds of things for them to eat and fix what I eat and sometimes it is not working to good.  Like tonight we are having fish and I usually bake or grill our catfish.  I am going to fry theirs and fix them some fries so hubby says well I would like mine fried also.  Let me tell you hubby does not need to eat anything fried.  So that is where I am at on the cooking right now.

On the other hand I am really enjoying the baby a whole lot and he is so cute and I get to play with him a lot.
Take care and have a great day..

Been through this with my kids when they lived here. It got to the place where I refused to make separate meals. I don't them since we were buying the food they could eat what we had of the could go without. The shouldn't be so persnickety when you are letting them stay with you for free. Better to set some ground rules now before it all blows up. Good luck. :)

I agree about the ground rules. And rules should help them get back on their feet. Let them do the work so you can enjoy the baby. ;-) Although a baby in the house would be nice for a couple of weeks.

I'm with Karen and Jo - set out the ground rules first. You worked really hard to make these healthy changes in your life (and your husband's). If they want to eat fatty/unhealthy food, they should have to prepare it themselves! (I know, easier said than done, but do you really want to start letting go of your new healthy habits in the name of being "nice"?)
