Day 29 Lot going on other than weight loss.

You know I could write a book on stress lately and probably win a damn Nobel prize for it or something.  I just start my new job and start relaxing and my personal life screws up.  Well screws up might me a strong word or even not the right words.  Our oldest grandson and his girlfriend and baby came to visit this weekend and they are having major problems.  First though let me fill you in on the family history with his mother.  His mother is my husbands step daughter from his previous marriage.  He did adopt her though when she was little, but we do not get along with her.  We have not seen or heard from this child in a couple of years other than through our other children.  Now he is here with no place to go and a 5 month old baby with them.  We are trying to figure out what we are going to do with them or how we can help them.  They are good kids and they just need a helping hand.  I guess that is what grand parents are for though, I can remember my grandmother helping me when I was married the first time.    We are thinking about getting a small trailer for them for a temporary fix until he can get a job and start bring in some money.  They are going to stay with us for a while, but we have a very small house and one of our bedrooms is a workout room so we are going to have to move some things around.  I guess I am more like my mother than I know, because our house when I was young was always full of people.  On the weekends we would have cousins all over the floor or living with us.

Now on the subject of weigh loss, I am really doing good this last couple of weeks and hope in continues.  I am on track with my eating pretty good, but today I did have a small bowl of ice cream and not the sugar free kind either.   I did not go over board just a small bowl and I used my extra points for the week to count it so I should be okay.  You know I have tried all kinds of diets and diet pills and when I came back to Weight Watchers this time I finally found something that works that I can live with for the rest of my life.  As they say this is not a diet this is a way of life for me.

Well I am up at 3:00 AM in the morning and can not sleep so I am blogging can you believe that.  The last couple of nights I have not been sleeping really good so I have been getting up a lot.  We are at deer camp so I decided to get up and get on the computer and post.  I am going to go and catch up on some of your posts and see what every one is doing.  Have a good night or morning..

Sorry you didn't sleep well. I have nights like that too. I hope when you were done reading you were able to sleep.

I have trouble sleeping sometimes too! Just can't seem to get my brain to shut off! It's nice that the grandkids have you to lean on!

Life always seems to throw curve balls! My maternal grandparents were always there for us and I'll never forget the things they did in order to help my mom out. Sounds like they just need a little help and guidance, luckily you and your husband are able to do what you can to help.

Oh and I'm loving the new points plus ww program. Although I must admit I am eating more "bad" stuff than I did on the last points program. I've got to get myself back on a schedule! Keep up the good work!

Debbie, you're a great grandma. I don't know a lot of grandmothers who would be so willing to help.
